Text from the exhibition "Edvard Munch and Henrik Ibsen" (1975): "Towards the end of the second act Oswald asks Regine to drink a glass of champagne together with him and Mrs. Alving. Regine is sent out to fetch another glass for herself and returns with an empty glass, which she holds in her hand."
Mrs. Alving’s head is insinuated in the left corner.
