Perm: grå lerret med blyanthempe og lukkebånd. Velinpapirpapir: hvitt (s.1-33), grågrønt (s. 34-35, og s. 40-41), gråbrunt (s. 36-39). 148 × 228 × 0,22 mm (h × b × t)
Comment:Denne skisseboken gir mange interessante glimt av verden, slik Munch så den i 1885–86. Han har møtt og skildret gatemusikanter, vaskekoner, båtpassasjerer, kafégjester, og kanskje omgangsvenner fra Kristianiabohemen. Spesielt interessante er fire tegninger av kvinnelige akter. På tegneskolen var bare mannlige aktmodeller tillatt, så disse to kvinnelige modellene må han ha skaffet privat. Det var nok for øvrig en aktivitet han ikke snakket så høyt om hjemme.
Disse aktene kan knyttes til to brev til Olav Paulsen i mars og april 1885, mens en tegning fra et båtdekk omtrent midt i skisseboken ganske sikkert er fra turen til Paris via Antwerpen i april-mai. De siste tegningene er vanskelig å tidfeste, men det virker rimelig å datere hele boken til 1885. (MB)
